Camargo Corrêa is the third most innovative in the infrastructure industry

Construtora Camargo Corrêa is, for the second year in a row, among Brazil’s 100 most innovative companies. Valor Inovação Brasil ranking organized by Valor Econômico was released last Tuesday (19th) and recognizes companies from 17 sectors of the economy.

This year, Camargo Corrêa ranked 3rd in the Sectoral Highlight – Engineering & Infrastructure category, and 80th in the general ranking. The award assesses the presence of innovation in the strategy and culture of the participating companies, in addition to the resources destined to the area.

According to the Innovation manager of the Construction Company, Indira Narvaz, the company seeks to be always aligned to novelties in the global industry in search for innovative solutions for the construction works. “The innovation is part of the identity of Camargo Corrêa. We have many programs that encourage the professionals to generate ideas and develop innovations, and we are always discussing and improving the theme”, Indira highlights.

One of the cases enrolled by the Construction Company in the annual book was the Double Slide Rail, used for the first time in Brazil in the construction works of Ponte Baixa Project, in São Paulo. The technology has optimized the excavation process of the enterprise and saved more than R$ 3.2 million. “The system has brought many benefits to the project. With it, we decreased the excavation area and, consequently, also the number of expropriations of residences. The Ponte Baixa Project was the first to use this methodology in the country and we can guarantee its effectiveness”, Ponte Baixa Project Manager Sérgio de Moraes Soares affirms.
